Sunroof, moonroof – these terms are used so interchangeably that not everyone knows the difference. What's the Difference Between a Moonroof and Sunroof

A sunroof is made of glass or metal installed in the roof of a car, truck, or SUV. It slides open or pops up for more light and air to flow into the cabin. A moonroof is a clear or tinted glass that slides between the roof and headliner, and it’s often tilted for fresh air. Either way, both can offer a breath of fresh air and give your vehicle’s interior a more spacious feel on those long drives.
