Nissan ProPilot Assist Explained
ProPilot Assist is a hands-on driving assistant designed to help you during long highway trips and the stop and go traffic of your daily commute. Using a front radar sensor and a front-facing camera located behind the rear-view mirror, ProPilot Assists helps to maintain a gap with the car in front of you at a preset distance and helps to keep the vehicle centered during single-lane driving, even if you are driving on a slight curve.
How Does Nissan ProPilot Assist Work?
Once you enable the ProPilot Assist system with the steering-wheel-mounted button, you will then set the desired speed and distance that you want to follow the car in front of you.
While engaged and when lane markers are detected, the ProPilot Assist steering wheel and lane line icons on the dash turn from grey to green and Steering Assist will provide small steering inputs, including a lane departure alert, to help you and your vehicle stay in your lane.
